Call with Awajún AMARNO President

It was great to speak with Awajún artisan and President of the artisans association AMARNO, Balbina Paukai. We caught up after a few weeks of trying to get in touch with each other. Due to the remoteness of their community, it often takes a few days and even weeks to reach them. This makes it even more exciting to get such treasures from these talented women who live along the Marañón River in the community of Urakusa in the Peruvian Amazon. We look forward to the next shipment from them and the Cofán in the next months.
